Privacy Policy
Effective date:
The short version
Bathysphere collects no data. The app makes no network requests, has no account or sign-in, and contains no ads, analytics, tracking or third-party SDKs. Everything it stores stays on your iPhone. On the App Store, its privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
Who we are
Bathysphere is made by No Worries! Lifestyle, LLC ("we"). Questions about this policy go to support@noworrieslifestyle.com.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your field journal. A JSON file in the app's App Group container on your iPhone. It records which creatures you photographed, when, and in which porthole. The App Group is shared only by the Bathysphere app and its own widgets.
- Your settings, such as your Motion choice, kept in the app's own storage on your iPhone.
None of it is sent anywhere. The app works fully offline, and there are no servers, so we never receive it.
Location (optional)
If you allow location (While Using the App), Bathysphere reads it on your iPhone only to work out the sun's elevation, so the Twilight zone matches the daylight where you are. It stores the coordinates rounded to 0.1 degree (roughly 10 km) in the app's own App Group defaults. They are never transmitted.
Without location, Bathysphere estimates daylight from your time zone.
Notifications (optional)
Almanac reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your iPhone by the app itself. No push service is involved, and nothing is sent to us.
Photos (optional)
Bathysphere asks for add-only access to Photos and uses it only when you save the hull wallpaper. Add-only access cannot see or read your photo library.
What we don't do
We don't collect, sell or share personal data. Bathysphere has no servers, no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.
Apple
Apple runs the App Store. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may share crash reports and aggregated usage statistics with us. Apple handles that under its own privacy policy. Bathysphere itself sends nothing.
Children
Bathysphere is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Everything Bathysphere stores lives on your iPhone. Deleting the app erases it. There is no in-app reset, and we hold no copy to delete.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
